Synopsis
About the Film
Shoji Story is a deeply personal and visually arresting short film about a young woman navigating the space between expectation and authentic self-expression.
Set against the tranquil beauty of traditional Japanese architecture, the film uses the metaphor of shoji screens — barriers that both separate and reveal — to explore themes of parenting and the power of finding one's own way even if it breaks from tradition.
